Brilliant piece of work here created by Patrick Jean. Pixels is a fun playful video where the real world turns in to game style pixels, the 3d compositing on to the live footage is what made me really enjoy this video, its done to such a high standard that it looks real even with its crazy styles.

task 3 enterprise

Task 3
How will I promote myself ,what do they want to hear?
Within a marketing communication mix I will be promoting my services and productions in a few ways. Here they are. Personal Selling, Public Relations and Publicity, Advertising, Direct Marketing, Promotions and the Internet Web Social. Personal selling also known as direct selling is where you would sell your work at a exhibition stand, shop or face to face. This does not apply to me as I am not selling a physical product rather my skills. Public reactions including publicity and sponsorship is where you would write a publication in a paper or are associated with a charity. With my skills I could produce a video and enter it in to a competition within my target audience. I have recently entered a competition with a fellow student called D&AD Student Awards 2010. This prestigious award would help me get out in to the media industry so as potential cliental could see my work. Advertising is a great way to promote yourself as its a direct way to tell people who you are through selling yourself. The problem is that this can be expensive. Promotiona are where you offer something which wouldn’t normally be offered to catch peoples eye. For me ths is something I ill not be able to do as it doesn’t really fit in to freelance work. Direct marketing is where you promote yourself directly , like in a newspaper insert or handing out fliers. I will be making Business cards so as to reach my direct cliental and networking relations. The internet is a great way to promote yourself, I will be making a website with all my contact information, past projects, skills and show reels on it.
I shall be using direct sales when directing my sales. As a freelance designer i will be contacted, and I shall discus the arrangements about payment depending on the scale and nature of the project.

THE RAVEN - 720 HD from THE RAVEN FILM on Vimeo.

I found this video on stumble today. its the kind of video that really inspires me. I love the grittyness of the story and style, coupled with the crisp sharp high def videos and renders.

Adam Berg was the producer of this brilliant advert, which was one large continuous camera shot. He worked through Stink Digital London. They used an array of techniques for this product, including camera tracks and lots of 3D to get that desired static effect. This London based company seems to have a nice feel to it. They have done many commercials, which I have always seen on TV and enjoyed. I think London would be a experience to work from maybe thinking to branching out somewhere abroad later.
